Barnacle Barrier™ is made with materials that can last in saltwater for over 100 years! The destinct characteristics of the Barnacle Barrier™ thermoplastic polymer shield makes this unit effective in preventing bottom growth to form on your boat. Bottom growth will slowly form on the bottom side of the light flexible thermoplastic polymer shield instead of on the bottom of your boat. Once excessive bottom growth has formed on the thermoplastic polymer shield (usually within 1 year) It can easily be cleaned with gentle scraping by a boat bottom cleaning technician. The thermoplastic polymer shield does not have to be completely cleaned, just clean enough to keep the unit afloat. There have been cases of 12 inches of growth on the bottom of theses units with no failure in function and operation. The thermoplastic polymer shield can also be simply, inexpensively replaced without moving the boat or the unit. Boat Barrier™ thermoplastic polymer shield uses a simple zip clamp method of attachment that can be performed usually from the boat.
